Reading assignment and practice problems (Scaling, Similarity, Gnomons, Fibonacci and Golden Ratio)

This week we will discuss spiral growth, especially the properties of the Fibonacci sequence,
and gnomonic growth.
Read: Chapter 7 sections 7.3 and 7.4 Scaling, Similarity, Gnomons, Fibonacci and Golden Ratio on pages 223-239 (PDF page numbers) in the textbook.
Do: Practice problems after Chapter 7: 29-51 odd (beginning on page 250 in the textbook). The answers to these exercises can be found in the back of the book starting on page 257. These problems do not need to be turned in, but should be done for practice before doing the Online homework.
