Excel Assignments

General Education Statistics Section 8 MW 2:30pm - Fall 2024

  • Excel Assignments are different from Homework. These assignments have specific instructions. You will be graded on using Excel functions. For example if you are finding the average of 15 numbers, you are expected to use the Excel function to find the average instead of using your calculator and just typing it in.
  • I do accept late Excel Assignments but there is a reduction in credit for late Excel assignments. One or two days late, there is no penalty, receive 100% credit.. Within 6 days late, 90% credit. Within in 10 days, 80% credit. Anything after ten days is a 50% credit. Days include weekend days.
  • I expect these projects to be done on your own. However, I am here to help. I can help choose the correct function. I can help fix any error messages that come up. You do not need previous knowledge of Excel. You will be turning these projects via Canvas (like attaching a file to email). I am also available to meet outside of these times. I can meet in person or via zoom on other days and times. Please send me an email or Canvas inbox message to set up a time and place to meet.
  • You do not need to purchase Excel if you do not have it. You have access to Excel Online as a CLC student.
