Testing window November 30 – December 4 · paper and pencil, proctored in person

What it covers

• Material: Days 18–23 — Chapter 2 polynomials and rational functions, and Chapter 3 exponential and logarithmic functions.
• Format: paper-based, proctored in person; a non-CAS calculator is allowed.
• Time: two hours.
• Window: November 30 – December 4. Book your seat as soon as the window opens.

⚠ Read this before you study

Note the change from previous terms: conic sections (Chapter 9) are not on this exam. This section runs 14 weeks, so Days 24–25 land after the Exam 3 window — conics are assessed on the cumulative final instead.

How to prepare

Step 1 — Master the foundation

Work through every day page in the range this exam covers — notes, videos and homework — before you start revising.

Step 2 — Review the study guide

It tells you the scope. Anything on it can be asked; anything not on it will not be.

Step 3 — Build a one-page summary

Main concepts and formulas, one side of paper. You will not have it in the exam. Making it is the point.

Step 4 — First practice run

Take the practice exam with your summary sheet in front of you, to find out which ideas are solid and which are not.

Step 5 — Target the weak areas

Rework everything you missed, going back to the notes rather than to the answer.

Step 6 — Final run, timed and closed-book

Take the practice exam again with nothing to hand and a clock running. This is the honest measure.
