Final Exam Info and Materials
Testing window December 9 – December 12 · cumulative · paper and pencil, proctored in person
The final exam is mandatory to pass this class, whatever your current grade is.
What it covers
- Cumulative — everything from Day 1 to Day 25.
- That includes Chapter 9 conic sections (Days 24–25), which are not on any of the three semester exams this term.
- Time: two hours, paper and pencil, proctored in person.
- Window: December 9 – December 12. Schedule your slot as soon as the window opens — the last week of term is the busiest the testing centre gets.
Materials
- Conic sections formula sheet — you will be given this one during the exam, along with a blank unit circle.
- Practice Problems Final Exam — posted in WebAssign.
How to prepare
Work backwards from the three semester exams. Rework the problems you lost marks on, then the study guides in order, then the practice set — timed, and without notes.
Give Chapter 9 a full pass of its own. It is the one block of material you have not already sat an exam on.
You have worked a whole term for this one. Sleep before it, eat before it, and bring your calculator.
